Question 3: What kind of institution might distribute your media product and why?

Our production company is Candi Studios as it is local and helps young directors and filmmakers like me it was the smartest of choices.

Our film is distributed by HAMMER FILM,  Hammer is a London based film distributor. known for its recent big film The Woman In Black.

 

Our reason for choosing this company is because we believe that being a British local independent film its best that we go to a British distributor as it would be more convenient. 

Some problems with being an independent film is low budget, low budget leads to less famous actors which won’t bring in as many people. A low budget will also cause our films effects to be less fancy.  A way in which we can gain a wider audience is by going to a film festival but being an independent film we can’t go to any one we’d have to go to Sundance and others.

Hammer Production is a very dated film company with releases under there name such as the mummy (1959) recently the company has been known to have been ‘revived’ some of the flms involved in this revival are ‘wake wood, The woman in black.’’
